PlayCity, Ukraine’s Gambling Authority, has applied a new fine to Favbet for contravening the Gambling Act.
The operator previously fined the company UAH 9m ($210,658.50) in January for using software from a vendor without the necessary B2B licence.
It is also believed that Favbet was delaying paying winnings to players and had delayed its licence payments to the government.
However, PlayCity is adding an additional fine of UAH 432,350 because Favbet is allegedly refusing to comply with the Authority.
In the legal documents, it reads that Favbet is being fined due to a “failure to comply with the order of the Authorised Body on the elimination of violations of the legislation in the field of organisation and conduct of gambling, by the PlayCity Agency.”
The decision has entered into legal force immediately and according to the documents, Favbet will have three months to comply or face additional consequences.
Gennadiy Novikov, Head of PlayCity, said: “The results of an unscheduled inspection at Favbet found that the company was not complying with the PlayCity order issued in January 2026 after the results of the previously scheduled inspection was recorded.
“A new fine of over UAH 400,000 was applied to the company.
“Our goal is not only to record violations, but also to ensure their timely elimination. We continue to systematically monitor compliance with licensing conditions, legislative requirements and our lawful regulatory orders.”
The initial failures were found during the first sweep of inspections into regulated and licensed gambling regulators in the country.
PlayCity also recently fined influencer Aliona Omovych UAH 5.18m for promoting unlicensed casinos on her social media pages
