La Liga has become the first-ever European soccer league to form a partnership with Polymarket, naming the operator as its Official and Exclusive Prediction Market Partner in the US and Canada.
“Soccer’s growth, especially in North America, is spearheaded by young, diverse and multicultural audiences who consume the game across multiple screens, so it’s our goal to continue to engage these demographics in new and unique ways,” Relevent CEO & Partner Boris Gartner said.
“It’s imperative we go beyond traditional engagement efforts in order to bring these audiences closer to the beautiful game than ever before, and we couldn’t think of a better partner than Polymarket to achieve that.”
Gartner also serves as Chairman of La Liga North America, representing a joint venture formed between Relevent and La Liga which originally launched in 2018.
The multi-year collaboration will feature heightened broadcast visibility, fan-focused digital and social programming and exclusive fan experiences such as VIP match hospitality and meet-and-greets with well-known La Liga players.
Polymarket is set to receive exclusive rights to use La Liga and club intellectual property in connection with the soccer league’s matches.
Polymarket Founder and CEO Shayne Coplan also spoke on the new collaboration, having said, “Our goal is to give fans a more expressive way to follow the game, where opinions on players, matches and season outcomes can be reflected in real time.
“Partnering with La Liga brings that level of interaction to one of the most passionate global fanbases and introduces a new, more dynamic way for North American audiences to engage with the league.”
On March 19, Major League Baseball (MLB) also confirmed Polymarket as its official partner, granting the platform access to official data and league marks to support market settlement.
The agreement includes a clause allowing MLB to terminate the partnership if courts determine that prediction markets violate state laws, according to a source familiar with the deal.
Earlier in 2026, Soccer United Marketing formed a multi-year agreement with Polymarket to name the operator as the official and exclusive prediction market partner of Major League Soccer (MLS) and the Leagues Cup tournament.
Sporty Group announced an expansion of its partnership with La Liga on January 22, with the aim of increasing engagement with Brazilian football audiences
