Soccer United Marketing has formed a new multi-year agreement with Polymarket, naming the operator as the official and exclusive prediction market partner of Major League Soccer (MLS) and Leagues Cup tournament.
“As MLS continues to grow, innovation remains central to how we engage fans and evolve the league,” MLS Deputy Commissioner and Soccer United Marketing President Gary Stevenson said.
“Partnering with Polymarket allows us to integrate prediction markets as a new fan engagement format and position MLS as an early leader among global soccer properties.”
The partnership will also include safeguards designed to maintain match integrity, such as the independent monitoring of trading activities and collaborations.
Polymarket will work with MLS to develop new fan engagement opportunities across the league’s digital platforms, including an enhancement of its live match experience and second-screen engagement.
The operator will also serve as the official and exclusive prediction market partner of the MLS All-Star Game and MLS Cup tournament.
“As soccer’s audience continues to grow and evolve in the US, fans are looking for new ways to engage more deeply with the game,” Polymarket Founder and CEO Shayne Coplan said.
“Through our partnership with MLS and Leagues Cup, we can surface real-time collective sentiment around key moments, matches and season-long storylines, giving fans a more interactive, data-driven way to experience the game and engage with the world’s most popular sport.”
The 2026 MLS season is scheduled to begin on February 21, representing the first global soccer league to integrate prediction market insights into its fan experience.
Polymarket has formed numerous partnerships to begin 2026, including with Dow Jones, the New York Rangers NHL franchise and the Golden Globes awards show.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board filed a civil enforcement action against Polymarket in Carson City District Court on January 20, as well as the prediction market operator’s technology platform Blockratize
