As part of a new multi-year collaboration, the National Basketball Association (NBA) has named PrizePicks as an official daily fantasy sports (DFS) partner, allowing the operator to integrate the league’s intellectual property across its DFS, free-to-play products and marketing initiatives.
“This partnership with the NBA marks an important milestone for PrizePicks as we continue to grow alongside one of the most iconic leagues in sports,” PrizePicks CEO Mike Ybarra said.
“Basketball has always been at the heart of our brand, and this collaboration reflects our deep roots in the game. Our focus has always been on delivering fun and responsible experiences, and working with the NBA allows us to bring that commitment to fans through innovative integrations that enhance how they engage with the game.”
The partnership was executed by Klutch Sports Group’s Brand Consulting and Sports & Brand Insights divisions, enabling PrizePicks to develop co-marketing efforts across the NBA’s digital and media platforms.
The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) will also grant the operator access to images of multiple NBA players to use across its marketing, content and promotional initiatives.
NBA Head of Domestic Fantasy Eric Rimsky spoke on the new partnership, having said, “PrizePicks has established itself as a leader in (DFS) through innovation and a strong focus on the fan.
“We’re excited to collaborate with PrizePicks to enhance the NBA fan experience by combining the league’s unmatched moments with PrizePicks’ interactive innovation, creating new and engaging ways for fans to connect with the game.”
PrizePicks also formed a new strategic partnership with Bob Does Sports on March 3, naming the operator as the exclusive fantasy and paid sports entertainment partner of the golf, sports and lifestyle brand.
The partnership will include always-on social integrations across multiple platforms, paid media and content collaborations, live event appearances and in-game “sweats” for major sporting events.
PrizePicks CMO Mike Quigley announced his intentions to step down from the role on March 5, stating he’s ‘incredibly proud’ of what he was able to achieve with the operator ‘in such a relatively short time’
