Mohegan Sun Arena has booked Metallica for two concerts on 19 November and 21 November, as part of the property’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
These anniversary concerts will be the first time Metallica plays at the Mohegan Sun Arena, and will be the band's only Northeast dates in 2026.
The last time the band played in Connecticut was 1998, making it a special experience for local fans.
Jeff Hamilton, Mohegan Sun President & GM, said: "Metallica's first‑ever performance at Mohegan Sun Arena is a truly special moment as we celebrate the venue's 25th anniversary.
"The 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena has been home to so many unforgettable moments, hosting more than 3,000 events and welcoming over 15 million guests in its history.
“We couldn't be more excited to honor that legacy by welcoming one of the most iconic Rock bands ever and celebrating this milestone with fans."
The two performances will also abide by the band's No Repeat Weekend tradition, meaning that both performances will have different track lists and support acts.
The 19 November performance will be supported by Suicidal Tendencies, while the 21 November show will feature special guest Spiritbox.
Pre-sale tickets for the Metallica Fan Club will go live on 8 April, while Live Nation and Mohegan Sun pre-sale tickets will launch on 9 April.
Tickets for the general public will be available from 10 April and include a two-day package.
A few weeks ago, Mohegan agreed to sell the Connecticut Sun to the Fertitta family for $300m.
Metallica has also just announced a sold-out residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas
