The Ministry of Sport and the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) in Brazil has launched an online educational platform to help athletes identify and prevent match-fixing efforts, originally developed by Sportradar and supported by Esports Gaming Brasil.

“We believe prevention is the most effective way to combat match-fixing and protect the integrity of competitions,” Esportes Gaming Brasil CEO Darwin Filho said.

“This platform was created to expand access to technical knowledge and enhance athletes’ ability to respond. Our goal is to contribute to a more honest, transparent and safe sporting environment”

The platform was unveiled during a panel held at the BiS SiGMA South America 2026 event, and can be utilized by any football club or athlete across the country. Sportradar has also held educational training sessions with Brazilian clubs such as Corinthians, Ceará, Náutico and Ferroviária.

The platform is expected to become available by May 2026 and seeks to “strengthen a culture of transparency and fair play.”

“Match-fixing is the opposite of what professional and licensed betting operators want. These are large companies operating in Brazil and abroad, many of them publicly listed in various parts of the world,” ANJL President Plínio Lemos Jorge said.

“Therefore, transparency and fair play are essential for the sector, and the partnership with the Ministry of Sport is another concrete initiative towards this goal.”

Sportradar LatAm Integrity Director Felippe Marchetti also spoke on the new public policy requirement, having said, “This partnership represents a fundamental step in raising awareness among athletes and protecting those most exposed to risks.

“At the same time, our educational platform will contribute to training law enforcement, supporting the interpretation of reports and strengthening integrity actions.”

The platform’s content covers match-fixing prevention efforts such as the scale of the problem and its consequences, also referencing standards which have been previously adopted by regulated markets.

Sportradar recently entered iGaming with the launch of its new Playradar brand, led by former Playtech Live CEO Edo Haitin who was brought on as EVP of iGaming in October 2025.

Playradar will initially roll out across the UK, North America and LatAm, with Sportradar confirming multiple game launches currently scheduled for 2026.
