Troy Wilkinson has joined Wynn Resorts as Global Chief Information Security Officer. In a post, shared on LinkedIn, Wilkinson expressed his excitement for the new role.
“I’m looking forward to working alongside the leadership team and the broader organization to ensure the security program continues to support the business at the highest level as it evolves and grows.”, he said.
A former cybercrime investigator, Wilkinson has experience in the cybersecurity sector. Former roles include CISO from SocialWellth, Litigation Services and the International Cruise and Excursions, Inc.
He formally served as Global CISO for the Fortune 500 company Interpublic Group.
In February 2026, a federal class-action lawsuit was filed against Wynn Resorts, after being hacked by a group known as Shinyhunters – losing thousands of documents with customer records. This perhaps explains the reasoning behind Wynn Resorts' new appointment for Global CISO. Wilkinson’s wealth of knowledge and expertise in the cybersecurity division will no doubt help support the company and prevent any future data breaches.
Specializing in Cloud and multi-cloud security architecture, threat intelligence and advanced threat detection, incident response, cyber investigations and AI and emerging technology security, he will operate and lead the cybersecurity team for Wynn Resorts.
Wilkinson’s career began in law enforcement and worked in violent crimes, terrorism and cybercrime investigations, branching out later to the US State Department and leading investigations in corruption and financial crime.
Further Wynn Resorts related news includes the construction work for its ambitious Wynn Al Marjan Island development will resume, following a short pause.
Another appointment was made recently when Wynn Resorts announced Craig Fullalove as the CFO.
