PrizePicks has debuted a new early exit feature, allowing bettors to cash out of their respective PrizePicks lineups before the involved matchups have officially concluded.
A slider payout option will appear once two or more players have begun participating in their respective contests, providing an enhanced sense of "strategy and control" for users. PrizePicks stated the live payout option is updated throughout the game and based on an individual player's performance.
"The new feature gives players a chance to guarantee a payout while the games are still going, or call it quits on a busted lineup before it goes to zero," PrizePicks stated within the release.
"Everyone loves to follow the game with a lineup locked in. Now, players can keep an eye on their early exit value and get paid without needing to sweat the full slate. This gives players the power to make real-time decisions based on performance and momentum."
The early exit feature offers instant access to the funds received for choosing to cash out on a PrizePicks lineup prior to each game's conclusion, as bettors will be able to use the same payouts to then select an entirely new parlay.
The operator also began introducing new social features in early October, developed in partnership with The Feed and allowing users to interact and view lineups created by their friends and the PrizePicks community.
"We're advancing the daily fantasy sports world forward into its next phase, blending how fans socialise online with how they root for their favorite players on game day," PrizePicks SVP of Product Dylan Cooper said at the time of launch.
The changes to the social elements of the app are complemented by recently launched player profiles, which allow users to view stats pertaining to their activity on PrizePicks.
On October 15, PrizePicks was awarded an interactive fantasy sports operating license by the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC), representing the 16th jurisdiction to formally ratify that PrizePicks' contests can be offered as games of skill under fantasy sports laws.
PrizePicks began airing the latest installment of the It's Good to Be Right campaign on October 14 with a new commercial series featuring basketball stars Allen Iverson and Candace Parker, social media influencer Drew 'Druski' Desbordes and comedic actor Sam Richardson
