The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has reported the state’s total gaming activity for March 2026, as revenue increased 11.8% to just over $1.4bn, assisted by 12.7% growth in Clark County to nearly $1.3bn. 

The increase for March is a welcome sight for Nevada operators, especially coming off a 6.6% decrease in gaming revenue during January 2026 and a minor 1.5% increase for February

Perhaps most encouraging were notable increases in revenue from the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown areas, which grew 14.4% and 20.8%, respectively, for totals of $780m and $103.1m. North Las Vegas reported a 0.1% increase in revenue to $26.6m, while Laughlin gaming revenue rose 1.1% to $50.5m.

Boulder Strip and Mesquite witnessed gaming revenue increases of 14.7% and 1.4%, respectively, to $98.9m and just over $19.6m. 

In Washoe County, gaming revenue increased 7.3% during March 2026 to $87.8m, led by the Reno area which generated $62m of revenue and grew 7.5%. Sparks managed to increase revenue by 8.7% to $16.2m, while North Lake Tahoe was one of the only areas in Nevada to report a decrease in gaming revenue, falling 9.7% to $1.4m.

How has the state's gaming revenue altered since March 2021?

South Lake Tahoe and the Washoe County areas reported gaming revenues of $17.6m and $12.2m, respectively, equating to increases of 19.7% and 5.3%. Elko County was the only Nevada region to report a decrease in total revenue, falling 4.8% to $35.3m. 

Slot machine activity in Nevada accounted for nearly $969.8m of the state’s total gaming revenue, having increased 5.5% year-over-year. Table games generated an additional $457.1m of revenue, reporting a notable increase of 27.9% for March 2026. 

Mobile sports betting produced $36.7m of gaming revenue for Nevada operators and increased 135.6%, primarily driven by wagers placed on basketball which resulted in $36.8m of revenue. Online wagers placed on football games equated to a loss in revenue of $9.7m, while hockey and baseball drove $10.2m of revenue combined.

Which areas drove the most revenue for Nevada during March?

On April 29, Nevada District Judge Jason Woodbury expanded the preliminary injunction request he approved earlier in the month to prohibit Kalshi from offering sports-, entertainment- and election-related event contracts to residents.

As set in the ruling from April 6, Kalshi has until May 4 to implement geofencing or geolocation measures in Nevada to prevent residents from engaging in any activity or transaction which is currently illegal under state gaming laws.
