Move follows recent CRM hire as operator scales operations

LuckBet has appointed Paulo Gasparotto as its new Head of Compliance, reinforcing its regulatory and governance structure as Brazil’s betting market continues to mature.

The role will focus on anti-money laundering (AML), regulatory compliance and internal controls, reflecting the increasing operational demands placed on licensed operators under Brazil’s fixed-odds betting framework.

“Operating in a regulated environment requires more than compliance. It requires excellence and we continue to evolve our structure to sustain this level of responsibility with consistency and long-term vision,” stated the company on the appointment announcement.

The appointment follows a series of recent hires aimed at strengthening LuckBet’s internal capabilities. Earlier, the operator named Renan Almeida as CRM Manager, bringing experience in customer engagement, acquisition and digital strategy from previous roles at Fast Gaming SA and 1001 Cupom de Descontos.

Together, the hires indicate an effort to build out both compliance and commercial functions as operators adapt to stricter regulatory requirements and increased competition.

The expansion comes as Brazil’s betting market remains highly competitive, with operators continuing to invest in both visibility and infrastructure.

According to new data, the sector recorded BR327.2m ($66m) in advertising investment during the first quarter of 2026, alongside 167 million online searches, highlighting sustained consumer interest.

Against this backdrop, compliance and governance are becoming increasingly central to operators’ strategies, particularly as regulators intensify oversight across licensing, financial monitoring and responsible gambling.

LuckBet’s Chief Marketing and Growth Officer, Vitor Paulin, is also a contributor to Global Gaming Insider, reflecting the company’s presence within wider industry discussions.
