The New Mexico Lottery has partnered with Scientific Games to modernize the organization’s retail technology, helping to optimize sales performance and generate maximum revenues to benefit college scholarship funding for in-state students.
Scientific Games will launch its Enhanced Partnership instant game management program across more than 1,000 New Mexico Lottery retail locations, utilizing analytics, logistics, retail optimization and product strategy.
The new technology is set to power the Lottery’s draw-based and Scratchers’ sales, as well as simplify lottery product management for retailers.
"The New Mexico Lottery is officially live with new, modern technology systems that work together to enhance all aspects of our operations and ensure we are well-positioned for our next era of growth," New Mexico Lottery CEO David Barden said.
"We've strategically planned every step of this holistic modernization effort with Scientific Games to intelligently operate our retail network, making our Scratchers games easier for retailers to manage in their stores and easily accessible to our valued players."
The integration of modernized technology across New Mexico Lottery’s retail locations has been in development since early 2025, and will also include Scientific Games’ Momentum ecosystem, clerk-operated terminals and self-service machines.
Scientific Games President of Americas & Global Instant Products John Schulz also commented on the partnership, having said, "Congratulations to the New Mexico Lottery for building upon our long-standing instant scratch game partnership, embracing innovation for the future.
"We are proud to serve as the Lottery's full-line partner and help drive maximum proceeds for New Mexico college students."
Scientific Games will provide assistance to the New Mexico Lottery from its location in Albuquerque, such as game planning services, data analytics, licensed brand services and retail sales & marketing support.
In late April, the Minnesota Lottery signed a new seven-year contract with Scientific Games to undergo a technology modernization, joining the New Mexico Lottery, Ohio Lottery and Loto-Québec in collaborating with the supplier.
The seven-year contract can be renewed for up to three additional years, and will also feature the integration of Scientific Games’ SCiQ digital menu boards across the Minnesota Lottery’s retailer network.
