La Tablée des Chefs has been awarded the inaugural 2026 F1 Allwyn Global Community Award.
The organisation connects surplus food donors with local community organisations across Montreal, which then distribute the meals to individuals and families,
It also offers workshops to teach young people food autonomy and vital culinary skills.
The combination of alleviating food insecurity while supporting it with educational workshops creates a sustainable model for communities.
The charity will receive a €100,000 grant ($116,040) that can be used to recover more surplus food from summer events, with plans to work with an additional 400 food donors and redistribute millions of meals to families in need.
Jean-François Archambault, La Tablée des Chefs Founder and CEO, said: “We are profoundly honoured to be named the winner of the F1® Allwyn Global Community Award.
“This recognition from Formula 1, coupled with the generous €100,000 donation from Allwyn, is transformative for La Tablée des Chefs, allowing us to significantly expand our work in food recovery and education.
“Having proudly worked with Formula 1® for a number of years, we are more dedicated than ever to increasing the distribution of high-quality meals to those experiencing food insecurity across Montreal – continuing to redistribute food with dignity while helping organisations reduce food costs and reinvest in support services that help people move out of poverty.”
Later in the F1 season, fans will have a chance to vote for their favourite initiative.
The Global Community Award was created through the partnership between F1 and Allwyn.
Pavel Turek, Allwyn Chief Officer Global Partnerships and F1® Allwyn Global Community Award judge, said: "At Allwyn, we believe sport can change the world for the better.
