Brazilian operator Esportes da Sorte will sponsor São João celebrations across 12 cities in 2026, expanding its cultural marketing strategy through branded activations, VIP areas and fan engagement campaigns tied to one of the country’s largest traditional festivals.

São João is one of Brazil’s most important cultural celebrations, particularly across the Northeast region. Held throughout June, the festival combines music, dancing, regional food and large public gatherings inspired by Catholic traditions honoring Saint John the Baptist.

In many northeastern cities, São João attracts millions of visitors and generates major economic activity through tourism, entertainment and local commerce.

Esportes da Sorte’s activations will focus primarily on northeastern Brazil, with planned activity in Recife, Salvador, Natal, Mossoró, Caicó, Maracanaú, Patos, Santa Luzia, Sousa, Santana do Ipanema and Maceió, alongside Belo Horizonte in southeastern Brazil.

The company said each activation has been designed individually to reflect local traditions and audience dynamics. Planned initiatives include branded lounges, interactive experiences, giveaways, relationship marketing campaigns and on-site entertainment activations throughout the festivities.

In 2025, the group sponsored São João events in 27 cities across the Northeast and Southeast. Earlier this year, it also supported Carnival celebrations in seven Brazilian capitals, alongside activations in Olinda and Caicó.

“The support for Brazilian popular culture and social-impact initiatives is part of the essence of our operation and goes beyond isolated actions,” said Marcela Campos, Vice President of Grupo Esportes Gaming Brasil.

“The presence of the brand during São João reinforces continuous work focused on valuing culture, strengthening local economies and supporting initiatives that preserve the identity of each region.”
