SCCG LatAm announced that it will host the Venezuela Gaming Expo at the Eurobuilding Hotel & Suites Caracas, bringing operators, regulators, investors and financial firms together for the first international gaming and iGaming conference held in the country.
The event will be held from August 12–14, is expected to attract around 3,000 attendees and comes as recent US sanctions relief improves the legal framework for cross-border banking activity with the country.
The conference will feature a programming track focused on market entry, regulatory navigation and payments infrastructure, alongside networking dinners and a dedicated business meetings area for private introductions between operators, providers, banking partners and investors. Pre-registration is currently open for operators, suppliers, financial firms, investors, regulators and media.
Venezuela operates under a three-body regulatory framework comprising the Comisión Nacional de Casinos, Salas de Bingo y Máquinas Traganíqueles, the Comisión Nacional de Lotería and the Superintendencia Nacional de Actividades Hípicas.
Horse racing and sports betting infrastructure falls under the latter through the Instituto Nacional de Hipódromos. Venezuela has a population of nearly 29 million, high mobile and internet penetration, and 32 licensed online operators currently active in the market.
A recent policy development has added momentum to the event: the US Treasury issued General License 57 in April 2026, authorizing US financial institutions to operate with four named Venezuelan state banks. The company said the measure lowers one of the structural barriers that has historically complicated international operators' engagement with the Venezuelan market.
Stephen Crystal, Founder and CEO of SCCG Management, said: "The Venezuela Gaming Expo is a defining moment for Latin American gaming. For the first time, international operators, providers and investors will have a structured venue to engage directly with the regulators and operators shaping one of the region's largest underexplored markets."
He added that the recent changes to US banking permissions created the right conditions to connect international interest with commercial opportunities in Caracas.
The expo is part of SCCG LatAm's broader expansion strategy in the region following the launch of its dedicated Latin American division and a Miami office earlier in 2026. The company said it works directly with Venezuela's three licensing bodies to support international firms seeking compliant market entry.
