BetMGM and Marriott Bonvoy have launched a soccer-themed sweepstakes tied to Sports Illustrated's Beyond the Pitch event series, extending a rewards partnership built around linked gaming and hotel loyalty accounts.
The Marriott Bonvoy & BetMGM World's Game Sweepstakes runs until June 21 and is open to eligible BetMGM players who link their accounts, opt in and place a minimum $10 wager.
Ten grand prize winners and their guests will receive VIP access to SI Beyond the Pitch in New York on July 18, along with travel support, a three-night stay at Moxy Lower East Side, dinner at L'Artusi Supper Club and Marriott Bonvoy points.
Thirty secondary winners will receive a $100 bonus bet, while qualifying participants can earn 2,500 Marriott Bonvoy points for generating at least one entry during each promotional period.
The promotion arrives as the United States hosts the FIFA World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico, with MetLife Stadium in New Jersey scheduled to stage the tournament final on July 19.
New York and New Jersey are expected to attract significant international visitor traffic during the latter stages of the competition, creating opportunities for hospitality brands, operators and sponsors seeking engagement with sports audiences.
The sweepstakes also reflects a broader trend among US operators toward experience-based loyalty offerings as competition for customer retention intensifies across regulated sports betting and iGaming markets.
Rather than relying solely on wagering incentives, operators have increasingly used access to sporting events, entertainment experiences and travel packages as part of their rewards strategies.
BetMGM and Marriott Bonvoy first launched their rewards collaboration in 2024, creating one of the first loyalty partnerships between a major hotel group and a regulated US gaming operator.
The arrangement allows players in eligible jurisdictions to link accounts, earn BetMGM Rewards points through wagering and convert those points into Marriott Bonvoy points for hotel stays and other travel-related benefits.
BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost said: "Partnering with Marriott Bonvoy for this event allows us to bring fans inside the velvet ropes during a once-in-a-generation moment on the global sports stage."
The promotion is unavailable in Nevada, New York, Ontario and Puerto Rico.
In April 2026, Blueprint Gaming and BetMGM agreed a multi-month exclusivity arrangement for the launch of the Game of Thrones slot title in Ontario.
The SI Beyond the Pitch event series is being staged across multiple US cities during the World Cup, with the New York finale featuring performances from 50 Cent and Diplo
