International Game Technology (IGT) and Mohegan Sun recently partnered to host a grand opening ceremony for the supplier’s Wheel of Fortune Cash on Reels slot game, having debuted on the property’s Casino of the Sky floor.
“IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Slots continues to bring tremendous energy to our gaming floor, and we’re looking forward to extending that excitement to even more players with IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Cash on Reels,” Mohegan Sun President & GM Jeff Hamilton said.
“I want to congratulate the teams involved for bringing this event to Mohegan Sun’s Casino of the Sky and pairing it with the Wheel of Fortune brand, blending the glittering environment with the glamour of the iconic game show.”
The launch event brought together Momentum loyalty rewards members for 200 complimentary spins, as well as the chance to win prizes and interact with well-known slot influencers.
IGT SVP of USA Sales Dan Farnon spoke on the launch, having said, “The player event at Mohegan Sun featuring IGT Wheel of Fortune Cash on Reels slots created a fun atmosphere for commemorating the game’s arrival and extending IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Slots 30th anniversary celebration.
“Over three decades, IGT Wheel of Fortune Slots have remained player-favorites, earning a reputation for awarding massive jackpots while delivering top-tier licensed slot innovation for our customers and their players.”
Heading south, IGT expanded the footprint of its Vive Las Vegas slots lounge with an inaugural launch in Argentina at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo in Buenos Aires on March 30.
The Vive Las Vegas slots lounge features over 50 IGT-branded slot machines, including multi-level progressives such as Magic Treasures Gold, Tiger and Dragon, Money Gong and Mummy Link.
Following approval for an online sports wagering vendor license by the Rhode Island Lottery on May 15, Bally’s will launch its online sportsbook in the state once IGT’s exclusivity period ends on November 26
