OIG Gaming Brazil has launched a sportsbook across its 7Games, Betão and R7 brands, expanding the group's presence in Brazil's regulated online betting market.
The operator, which entered Brazil's licensed framework following the market's transition to regulation in January 2025, has historically focused on casino products.
The addition of a sportsbook reflects a broader trend among casino-led operators seeking to diversify revenue streams as the country's online betting sector matures.
Brazil remains one of the largest regulated betting markets in Latin America, attracting significant investment from operators and suppliers since the introduction of the federal licensing regime.
The framework requires operators to meet standards covering responsible gambling, anti-money laundering controls, customer verification and local operations.
Under the agreement, sportsbook technology provider First.bet will supply the trading, pricing, live betting and risk management infrastructure behind the three brands' sports betting operations.
The sportsbook is being delivered through SportOS, First.bet's operating platform, while 7Games has developed its own front-end interface.
The launch comes as competition in Brazil continues to increase following the entry of both domestic and international operators. Football remains the dominant betting product in the country, with operators increasingly focusing on localized content, Portuguese-language interfaces and payment methods familiar to Brazilian consumers.
First.bet has expanded its presence across Latin America over the past year, positioning its sportsbook technology around regional market requirements.
The supplier has focused on operators entering or expanding within regulated jurisdictions, particularly in Brazil where licensing requirements have reshaped the competitive landscape.
First CEO Tom Light said: "Brazil rewards operators who get the product right and punishes the ones who don't."
OIG Gaming Brazil stated that the sportsbook launch would allow it to focus on player acquisition and retention while relying on third-party technology for trading and market management.
The rollout also comes as Brazilian authorities continue efforts to strengthen oversight of the licensed market, including enforcement actions against unauthorized operators and ongoing monitoring of compliance requirements for approved betting brands.
In November 2025, First.bet announced a partnership with Pixbet as part of its expansion strategy in Brazil. The supplier said its platform had been designed around local betting behavior, PIX payments and Brazilian football competitions.
Brazil's regulated betting market officially launched on 1 January 2025 following the completion of the country's federal licensing process
