Sports data provider TXOdds has unveiled TxLINE, a new on-chain data distribution platform developed in partnership with Solana, alongside the launch of a global World Cup hackathon aimed at accelerating innovation in sports data applications.
The initiative marks a significant shift in how premium sports data is accessed and utilised. Traditionally, institutional-grade sports feeds have been available primarily through enterprise agreements and lengthy procurement processes. For the duration of the competition, however, TXOdds is removing both data access fees and token payment requirements, allowing participants to use live match feeds free of charge.
The hackathon, hosted on Superteam Earn, will provide developers with access to real-time data covering all 104 World Cup matches. Participants will compete for a US$50,000 prize pool across three categories: Prediction Markets & Settlement, Trading Tools & Agents, and Consumer & Fan Experiences.
At the core of the initiative is TxLINE’s ability to record and timestamp sports data on the Solana blockchain. By creating a tamper-evident audit trail for every data packet, the platform aims to support applications requiring transparency, automated settlement, backtesting and compliance verification.
"Partnering with Solana and Superteam puts our data directly into the hands of builders who are pushing the sports betting industry toward real transparency. This World Cup hackathon is where we prove what's possible when you break down traditional gatekeepers and give access to talented, motivated builders.”, TXOdds Chief Executive Officer Einar Knobel said.
The company said the programme is designed to bridge the gap between traditional sports data infrastructure and decentralised technologies, encouraging builders to create practical, real-world applications using live data feeds.
In addition to the online competition, TXOdds will host a World Cup final watch party in London. Registration opens on 24 June, with submissions closing on 19 July. Winners across the various tracks are scheduled to be announced on 29 July.
TxLINE is designed to transform traditional sports data feeds into a consumption-based service
