The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has chosen Intralot Canada – a subsidiary of Bally’s Intralot Group – as the organisation’s new lottery technology solution provider, with enhancements projected to be in place by 2029.
"We're excited to work together to bring customers even more engaging lottery experiences, with offerings designed to better meet their needs and add more enjoyment to every play," OLG President & CEO Duncan Hannay said.
"This investment will position us for future growth, modernize legacy systems and strengthen our ability to give back to the people and communities of Ontario."
Following a “competitive procurement process,” Intralot Canada now plans to expand its team to support implementation and ongoing operations alongside OLG in both Sault Ste. Marie and Toronto.
The new lottery technology solution will look to update OLG's core systems, help the organisation capitalise on emerging technologies and enhance player experience.
Bally’s Intralot Group CEO Robeson Reeves also spoke on the new agreement, having said, "OLG is a leader in the lottery sector, and this agreement reflects the strength of Bally's Intralot's global lottery expertise and advanced technology capabilities.
"Our platforms are built to handle the complexity, scale and security demands of modern lottery operations, backed by decades of hands-on experience running mission-critical lottery systems across global markets. As the industry continues to evolve, we are committed to giving OLG the tools, data intelligence and technical foundation it needs to lead. We are proud to support OLG's next chapter as it continues to deliver value across Ontario."
In January, Kambi Group formally took over contractual responsibility for the organisation’s multi-channel sportsbook after completing a novation agreement with FDJ Gaming Solutions France and OLG.
The arrangement covers trading, risk management, platform infrastructure and compliance functions required to operate within Ontario’s regulated market.
OLG attempted to set a Guinness World Records title for the largest game of human foosball as part of its Toronto World Cup 2026 activity on 23 May in a custom-built 150ft by 68ft arena
