Hard Rock Las Vegas filed a land use application with the Paradise Town Advisory Board for the new theatre project
The Board will consider the application on June 30 prior to a potential vote from the Board of County Commissioners in July

Hard Rock Las Vegas has submitted a land use application to the Paradise Town Advisory Board in the hopes of constructing a new 2,000-seat live entertainment venue in addition to its existing footprint on the Strip.

According to the new Las Vegas property, the additional theatre space would provide an “intimate setting” for various live entertainment acts and “complement” the anticipated 5,000-seat Hard Rock Live arena.

If approved, the project would add approximately 179,000 sq ft to the $4bn casino-resort structure, including for the auditorium, pre-function and backstage areas. The application confirmed Hard Rock Las Vegas’ theatre proposal would stand five stories tall.

The Paradise Town Advisory Board is set to consider the application during its public meeting scheduled for June 30, while the Board of County Commissioners would then vote on the proposal in July.

Upon completion, Hard Rock Las Vegas will include 3,600 hotel rooms, nearly 175,000 sq ft of gaming space, two spas, multiple pools, two live entertainment venues and various dining options for guests.

Currently being constructed on the former site of The Mirage, Hard Rock International previously anticipated requiring close to 6,000 employees when the property officially launches in late 2027.

In South America, Hard Rock held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new hotel property in Gramado, Brazil, as the project’s first phase is expected to debut in late 2028 and offer 431 guestrooms.

Mundo Planalto will lead construction and development on Hard Rock Hotel Gramado, as well as oversee a fractional ownership model in which buyers acquire fractional ownership interests to grant access to premium accommodation and shared-use vacation experiences.

The operator’s Atlantic City property will also undergo a $50m renovation plan during 2026 in the hopes of "reaffirming its commitment” to the city, having executed nearly $700m in cumulative property investments since 2018.
