Lotto.com has officially launched its lottery courier services platform in Puerto Rico, representing the organization’s first market entry outside of the US and its inaugural introduction to a primarily Spanish-speaking market.
CEO Thomas Metzger addressed the historic launch, having said, “The expansion into Puerto Rico represents an exciting chapter for Lotto.com.
“We are proud to bring our platform to the island and provide residents with a convenient digital way to participate in lottery draw games, bringing incremental customers and profits to Lotería Electrónica.”
At the time of writing, Lotto.com is only offering draw games in Puerto Rico, but residents will still gain access to games such as Powerball, Double Play, Powerplay, Loto Cash and multiple daily contests.
According to Lotto.com, the country generated nearly $500m in sales during fiscal year 2025, while Lotería Electrónica of Puerto Rico plays a “vital role” in ensuring proceeds benefit social programs such as education, healthcare initiatives and infrastructure improvements.
Since inception, the Lotería Electrónica has contributed over $4bn to beneficiaries and public programs, such as the Catastrophic Emergency Fund, Puerto Rico Olympic Committee, youth sports development and rental assistance for the elderly.
Lotto.com also currently operates in 11 US states, including Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Oregon. The lottery courier platform went on to confirm plans of expanding into additional states “soon.”
In March, Lotto.com worked with the National Council on Problem Gambling to support players during Problem Gambling Awareness Month and help raise awareness around the availability of prevention, treatment and recovery services.
The operator encouraged local media and companies to get involved with the campaign by highlighting lived experiences along with the resources available to the wider public.
Lotto.com reported reaching 4 million customers and over $150m in cumulative player winnings during January 2026, less than five years after launching its online lottery courier platform in the US
