Betano has announced the formal expansion of its sponsorship deal with Portuguese top-flight side FC Porto.
Indeed, the pair will remain partnered until 2029 under the terms of this renewed arrangement, which will see Betano’s branding remain on the front of FC Porto’s home, away and training kits. This amended deal now outlines a sponsorship expansion to include Betano’s branding on the sleeve of the FC Porto Women’s Team shirts. Elsewhere, the pair will continue to engage in numerous fan-interaction activations and activities as part of its partnership.
This latest announcement closely follows a similar deal in the Premier League, which saw Betano put pen to paper with Tottenham Hotspur to become the training kit sponsor in recent weeks.
Speaking on this latest development, Kaizen Gaming CCO Julio Iglesias Hernando said: "FC Porto has been an exceptional partner over the past five years, a period in which the club has won an impressive total of eight domestic titles, and we are delighted to extend this successful relationship until 2029.
“This renewal reflects the strong trust we have built together and our shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering memorable experiences for fans. We are especially proud to expand our partnership to include FC Porto’s Women’s Team, supporting another important milestone in the club’s journey. We look forward to continuing to grow together, both on and off the pitch, while creating a positive and lasting impact for the FC Porto community.”
Building on this was FC Porto Executive Board Member José Pedro Pereira da Costa, who stated: “FC Porto is stronger when its partners are stronger too. It is through this mutually beneficial relationship, one that we have built on trust and commitment, that both our Club and our partners thrive. Betano has been a key partner through many important moments, and we are therefore delighted to extend our partnership until 2029.
“Far beyond its presence on the front of our shirt, Betano has played a decisive role in several Club projects, particularly Inzone, which is a source of great pride for us. And, of course, there are the many initiatives we have developed together, which are an integral part of the Club’s vitality and which we are certain will continue to grow over the coming years,”
This latest development follows a flurry of football-related sponsorships in the industry since the conclusion of the World Cup, including Coral and Birmingham City FC and Mr Vegas and Reading FC in the past week alone.
Betano and FC Porto have been official sponsorship partners since 2021
