BetMGM has expanded its portfolio of iCasino content in Alberta with the launch of Aristocrat Interactive’s Lightning Link High Stakes slot title, following the province’s newly regulated online gambling market going live on 13 July.

“Very few slot franchises have achieved the staying power and player recognition of Lightning Link,” BetMGM Director of Gaming Rob Passerino said.

“Lightning Link High Stakes brings a casino-floor favorite into the digital experience for our Alberta players and reflects the type of premium, proven content we want BetMGM Casino Alberta to be known for: recognisable games, compelling features and entertainment rooted in the energy of Las Vegas.”

Lightning Link High Stakes offers multi-denomination play, cash-on-reels and a ‘big reel’ feature during free games, as well as shared progressive jackpots and hold & spin mechanics.

As confirmed by BetMGM, the online slot title is currently available on the operator’s iCasino platforms in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ontario in addition to the Alberta launch

Speaking of New Jersey, BetMGM unveiled the re-launch of Borgata Online in late June, featuring a “refreshed interface, streamlined navigation and ongoing feature parity” as part of a “major platform evolution.”

Borgata Online obtained New Jersey’s first-ever internet gambling permit on 9 October 2013 from the Division of Gaming Enforcement, prior to being part of the state’s initial soft-launch group on 21 November.

Although records only date back to 2015, Borgata Online has contributed $250m in taxes to New Jersey and currently offers 4,000 titles to iGaming players, including 250 exclusive games and a live dealer offering.
