Effective immediately, Nir Efrat has taken up the role of CEO with WorldWinner.
Efrat has a background in casual mobile games and entertainment, and he will now turn his expertise to the management of the real-money skill-gaming operator.
Nevada-based WorldWinner started its online platform in 1999.
From the beginning, its product allowed players to compete against each other for real money online - now this is channelled primarily through its smartphone application.
Efrat's remit will include the running of WorldWinner's own eponymous brand and FanDuel Faceoff, which is operated in partnership with Flutter's FanDuel.
He steps into this new role directly from his position as CEO of Virtually Human Studio, which also creates skill-based games.
Ali Bajwa is the Principal at Platinum Equity, which acquired WorldWinner in 2021, and he commented: "Nir brings deep expertise in building player-focused experiences and forging valuable strategic partnerships. We're confident his leadership will strengthen WorldWinner's foundation and unlock new opportunities for growth."
Efrat himself has expressed his happiness at being given the opportunity, adding: "We will continue advancing both the direct-to-consumer WorldWinner experience and FanDuel Faceoff while building the next generation of competitive-gaming technology and distribution partnerships. Our mission is simple - deliver trusted, fun, fair competition at scale."
Nancy MacIntyre is the outgoing CEO, having left the company in October this year - she has occupied the role since 2023.
Executive Chairman of WorldWinner, David Nathanson looked forward to the future in his statement, saying: "Nir has scaled iconic game businesses across mobile, live-ops and emerging digital markets. His experience and product rigor will accelerate our multi-channel strategy as we innovate across casual competition, real-money play and future partner ecosystems."
