Maryland Lottery and Gaming has reported the state’s commercial casino activity for July 2026, as the six operators which report to the regulator combined to generate $157.9m, representing a decrease of 4.7%.
Casino gaming contributions during July totaled nearly $68.2m – including $49.9m to the state’s Education Trust Fund – and decreased 3.5%.
An additional $8.4m was distributed to the communities and jurisdictions where the casinos are located, $8m to the state’s horse racing industry and $1.7m to to support small, minority- and women-owned businesses.
Despite accounting for the most revenue of any commercial property in Maryland with just over $60.2m, MGM Grand National Harbor reported a decrease of 12.2% for July. Even Live! Casino & Hotel, which generated the second-most revenue at $59.2m, witnessed a 0.8% fall year-over-year.
Horseshoe Casino managed to produce the highest revenue increase of any land-based gaming establishment in Maryland, rising 4.5% to nearly $15.1m.

Which casinos accounted for the most revenue during July?
Ocean Downs Casino and Hollywood Casino Perryville recorded July revenues of $10.5m and $7.8m, respectively, equating to increases of 2.3% and 2.8%.
Rocky Gap Casino accounted for $5.1m of Maryland’s total casino revenue for July and decreased 0.8%, with the month officially kicking off a new fiscal year period for Maryland Lottery and Gaming.
The regulator also reported the state’s total sports betting activity for June 2026 on July 10, as mobile and retail operators managed to generate $38.2m of taxable win during the monthly period, equating to a decrease of 17.6%.
While revenue for Maryland’s licensed sports betting operators fell year-over-year, the state’s total wagering handle for June increased 29.6% to just over $523.3m.
Mobile operations accounted for the vast majority of sports betting revenue in Maryland after reporting $37.9m, but still witnessed a decrease of 16.7%,. Retail operators produced similar luck during June, as taxable win fell 63% to just $346,040.
