The Star Entertainment Group has announced multiple changes to its Board following a meeting held on 28 November 2025.
The company stated that Soo Kim and George Papanier have been appointed as directors as nominees of Bally's Corporation.
Their appointments mark a further step in the developing relationship between The Star and Bally's after recent engagement between the two companies over future strategy and operational direction.
The operator also confirmed that Chair Anne Ward and Non Executive Director Deborah Page have resigned from the Board. Both departures take immediate effect. Ward and Page had served during a period of heightened regulatory scrutiny and leadership transition for the group.
As part of the restructuring, Bruce Mathieson Jnr has been elected Chair of The Star. Additional governance changes include the appointment of Peter Hodgson as interim Chair of The Star's Audit Committee and the designation of Eirene Garnsey as an additional Company Secretary.
Group CEO and Managing Director Steve McCann said: "On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Anne Ward and Deborah Page for their significant contributions during a challenging period for The Star. We wish them well for the future. I would also like to welcome Soo Kim and George Papanier to the Board and look forward to working with them to assist in shaping a new future for The Star."
Earlier this month, The Star announced the appointment of veteran auditor Don Pasquariello as a Non Executive Director, pending regulatory and ministerial approvals. Pasquariello, a former senior partner at Deloitte and KPMG, brings more than four decades of audit, assurance and compliance expertise. Until his approval process is complete, he is acting as an observer to the board.
The recent addition of Pasquariello and the latest board changes form part of a wider effort by The Star to strengthen oversight and rebuild confidence after several years of regulatory challenges and leadership restructuring
