Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has appointed former Entain CEO Gavin Isaacs to its Board of Directors in an advisory capacity. The appointment comes as the testing and certification group continues its expansion.
Isaacs has already joined the board, although his formal appointment remains subject to regulatory review and approval. He will serve alongside GLI President and CEO James Maida and representatives of investment firm CVC.
The appointment follows a strategic partnership announced between GLI and CVC in June. CVC subsequently invested in GLI and related entities through its Strategic Opportunities platform, which focuses on longer-term investments.
Isaacs brings more than 25 years of experience across gaming, iGaming, sports betting and lottery businesses. His previous positions include senior roles at Scientific Games, DraftKings, SBTech, Bally Technologies and Aristocrat Technologies.
He was appointed CEO of Entain in September 2024, adding the global betting and gaming group to a career spanning both public and private gaming companies. Isaacs was also inducted into the American Gaming Association's Gaming Hall of Fame in 2022.
His appointment comes as GLI continues to extend its testing and certification activities across newly regulated and developing gaming markets.
Last month, the company was recognized by Uzbekistan's National Agency of Perspective Projects as an approved testing laboratory whose certification reports can be used by operators and suppliers under the country's gaming regulatory framework.
Earlier in 2026, GLI also became the first independent iGaming testing laboratory accredited by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation under its supplier accreditation framework. Its European subsidiary was separately accredited by Ukraine's PlayCity to test and certify gaming hardware and software.
