Mark Wahlberg, known for his roles in comedy films like Ted, has helped celebrate the opening of the newly transformed west Las Vegas hotel.
The VIP event allowed guests to get an exclusive look at the casino's new spaces, while enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
Wahlberg, a resident of the Summerlin area where the resort is located, has invested heavily in the city. Later this year, the actor and entrepreneur is set to open a luxury fitness and recovery facility in downtown Summerlin.
Since 2023, renovation work on Suncoast Hotel & Casino, one of Boyd Gaming's Las Vegas properties, has been underway. During this time, the whole property was enhanced, from the ballrooms to the dining options.
The renovations also featured a completely revamped casino floor and sportsbook.
The massive overhaul of the west Las Vegas casino aligns with Boyd Gaming's plans to continue investing in its portfolio of properties in southern Nevada.
Last month, Boyd Gaming also debuted new race and sportsbook enhancements at its Aliante Casino & Hotel in North Las Vegas.
