The Casino-Théâtre de Cayenne in French Guiana is scheduled to welcome its first customers at 10am on 5 November, according to operator Cogit Group, following several delays.
Caysino, a Cogit subsidiary, will operate the venue at the junction of Route de Montabo and Chemin Sadecki.
The development combines a casino with a restaurant and performance space. Opening events are planned for 6 to 8 November.
The date replaces an opening previously expected in September. Cogit said the project is in its final phase, with employees being integrated and trained ahead of the planned launch.
The November announcement provides a revised timetable; the venue has yet to begin admitting players.
Earlier project details outlined a gaming floor of about 655 square metres. Cogit said in May that its intended gaming offer included two blackjack tables, a traditional roulette table, 20 electronic gaming positions and 100 slot machines.
The project is being developed under an arrangement with the City of Cayenne. Municipal officials have described the venue as part of a wider effort to expand entertainment and event facilities in the Montabo-Chatenay area. The city put investment at more than €25m ($28m) during construction.
The planned opening comes amid separate changes in the wider French casino sector. Merkur has agreed to take a 95% interest in Casigrangi, majority owner of Société Française de Casinos, subject to approvals. Banijay Gaming has also agreed to acquire Joa, which operates 33 casinos across France.
Earlier plans called for 100 slot machines, 20 electronic gaming positions and three traditional gaming tables
