Gary reached ICONIC21 after having held senior commercial positions on both the operator and the supplier side

iGaming content provider ICONIC21 has named Gary Francis as Director of Business Development, reinforcing its commercial team at a crucial stage in the company’s development. Having gained more than a decade of experience with some of the industry's most well-known companies, Gary is joining ICONIC21 as the provider expands its network of operators and readies itself to enter a number of new regulated markets.

Gary reached ICONIC21 after having held senior commercial positions on both the operator and the supplier side. In his most recent role, he was Head of Commercial and Head of Account Management at BetGames, in which capacity he was responsible for the company's commercial relationships and for promoting account growth in major markets.

Other companies to name include Pragmatic Play and bet365, where he developed extensive experience in player engagement, VIP account management, and operational leadership, all of which have since influenced his commercial approach.

The fact that ICONIC21 has made the appointment shows that the company is heavily committed to developing its commercial activities, since at the same time both its portfolio and its network of partners are expanding.

As its live casino line gains increasing popularity, its range of Slots and RNG products grow larger, and with product launches featuring formats which the industry has not previously seen, ICONIC21 has now reached a stage at which experienced commercial leadership is not only valuable but actually essential.

Gary Francis, Director of Business Development said: “ICONIC21 is at a really exciting stage. The products are strong, the team is ambitious, and what they've achieved in such a short space of time speaks for itself.

What attracted me was that it isn't just big ambitions and promises – the company is already delivering. It felt like the right time to join, and I'm very much looking forward to being part of what comes next.”

Alina Mihaela Popa, Chief Commercial Officer at ICONIC21, said:“Gary is the obvious person to take on this role since we are expanding quickly, our commercial pipeline is solid, and the regulated markets we plan to enter in the coming years need exactly the kind of experience and level of relationship that Gary has.

He has worked at the top level with both operators and suppliers, and he knows what is required to set up and maintain the kind of partnerships that lead to long-term commercial growth. We are happy to have him joining us and are confident that his input will be highly noticeable.”

ICONIC21 is in the midst of an incredibly fast growth phase, as a provider that is expanding in multiple directions through its products, through its distribution, and via the strong commercial team it has established. Gary is joining at a time when the company is experiencing intense development, and the scope of his responsibilities shows the size of the opportunity lying ahead.
