The Las Vegas Strip has welcomed Gymkhana, a London restaurant with two Michelin stars, to the Aria Resort and Casino.
This is the restaurant's first location in the US and the first Indian restaurant to debut on the Las Vegas Strip, adding variety and culinary diversity to the Vegas landscape.
Las Vegas has sought to grow its tourism base in recent months after some decline in visitation. However, Gymkhana serves dishes with a high price point, something that could deter tourists looking for quality dining on a limited budget.
JKS Restaurants Co-Founders Jyotin, Karam and Sunaina Sethi partnered with MGM Resorts International to bring Gymkhana to the Strip.
MGM Resorts Chief Content, Hospitality & Development Officer Ari Kastrati explained how introducing Vegas to Gymkhana dining was a long time coming.
Kastrati commented, "Bringing Gymkhana to Aria has been years in the making, and we are honored to have this prestigious restaurant as part of our culinary portfolio.
"We have partnered with the JKS team to deliver a best-in-class lifestyle experience for our guests - one that will not only elevate the city's food and beverage landscape but also bring an exciting new energy to The Strip's fine dining scene."
JKS Restaurants Global CEO Pavan Pardasani said the company is excited for the current collaboration and for bringing the London restaurant to the states.
Pardasani said, "We are grateful to work alongside renowned culinary leadership at MGM Resorts as we open Gymkhana in Las Vegas - one of the world's premier food cities.
"Aria is the perfect stage for the restaurant's next chapter as we share the brand's deeply rooted Indian hospitality with a global audience that values exceptional cuisine, first-class service and memorable dining experiences that make them return time and again."
The original Gymkhana opened in 2013 in Mayfair, London
