The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has reported the state's total gaming revenue throughout September 2025, as casino hotels, iGaming and sports wagering generated $563.7m, representing growth of 1% from the prior year period. Casino hotels and iGaming accounted for the vast majority of New Jersey gaming revenue for September 2025, reporting $230.7m and $243.1m, respectively, equating to increases of 0.1% and 16.8%.

Representing the first time iGaming has surpassed hotel casinos in gaming revenue produced throughout a monthly period since April 2025, FanDuel led all operators in revenue for September, having generated $56.6m for an increase of 31.1%.

DraftKings reported just over $48.4m in revenue for September 2025, representing an increase of 11.6% year-over-year, while BetMGM managed to produce $30.3m and rose 33.6%.

Borgata, Caesars Palace Online Casino and Hard Rock Bet were all able to surpass the $10m revenue threshold as well, with Borgata leading the pack at $20.7m for September 2025, rising by 14.2% from the prior year period. Caesars and Hard Rock Bet reported September 2025 iGaming revenues of $17.8m and $14.2m, respectively, equating to increases of 36.9% and 34.6%.

Authorized iGaming offerings generated $240.7m of the gaming type's revenue generated for September 2025, while peer-to-peer gaming accounted for the remaining $2.5m. Year-to-date iGaming revenue was reported to be $2.12bn by the New Jersey DGE, amounting to a rise of 22.7%.

On September 16, the DGE issued a new proposal which would require online gambling operators to follow a mandatory set of responsible gaming (RG) practices, such as automatically reviewing accounts that alert certain precautionary triggers.

Under the DGE proposal, operators would be responsible for automatically reviewing accounts which show signs of problem gambling, including single-day deposits over $10,000 or $100,000 in 90 days. Operators conducting business in New Jersey would also have to appoint a "responsible gaming lead," who will maintain a list of at-risk players to ensure assistance is provided, including a shut down of the account if needed.

For casino hotels in New Jersey, Borgata was able to lead all properties in revenue generated in September 2025, having reported nearly $62.8m and increasing 0.6%. Hard Rock and Ocean Casino generated September 2025 revenues of $45.4m and $39.6m, respectively, representing increases of 1.8% and 39.3%.

Multiple properties witnessed decreases in gaming revenue for September 2025, including Bally's Atlantic City property which reported a fall of 19.4% for a total revenue of $10.1m. Caesars generated $16.6m of September 2025 revenue for a decrease of 19%, while Golden Nugget and Harrah's fell 10.2% and 12% respectively, for revenues of $10m and $16.4m.

Despite falling by 1.8% from the prior year period, slot machine revenue still accounted for over $170.1m of casino hotel revenue for September 2025, led by Borgata with $45.3m and Hard Rock at $31.1m. Table game win generated nearly $60.6m of revenue for September 2025 and rose 5.7%, as Borgata, Hard Rock and Ocean Casino once again led all operators with $17.4m, $14.3m and $13.7m, respectively.

Sports wagering revenue in New Jersey failed to replicate the success of iGaming or casino hotels for September 2025, as revenue fell 24.9% to $89.8m, although the state's total handle throughout the month rose 3.7% to $1.13bn. Online sports wagering actually produced a higher revenue than the final tally reported by the DGE for September 2025, having generated $89.8m, but was held back by a retail sports wagering loss of approximately $13,000.

Online sports wagering revenue in New Jersey still witnessed a decrease of 19.4% from the prior year period while its retail counterpart fell 100.2% year-over-year. FanDuel and DraftKings both reported an online sports wagering revenue decrease for September 2025, as the two goliaths generated $37.7m and $22.6m, respectively, falling 22.7% and 38.1%. BetMGM witnessed an online sports wagering revenue fall of 9% to $7.1m, while BetFanatics was able to increase its revenue for September 2025 by 179.1% for a total of $6.9m.
