Softswiss has partnered with PantherBet to bring a sportsbook and casino platform to South Africa
The collaboration provides technology and market insight to support licensed operators after year-on-year increase in South Africa's gambling turnover

Softswiss has announced a partnership with PantherBet using the Softswiss Sportsbook and Casino Platform at a time when regulators in countries such as Eswatini are calling for tighter controls and a freeze on new gambling licences. The collaboration extends Softswiss' presence in the region and supports licensed local operators.

PantherBet launched in September with a focus on becoming a destination for online entertainment. The operator prioritises modern design, user experience and compliance with responsible gambling requirements. By partnering with Softswiss, PantherBet is using technology already implemented in regulated markets in Europe, Latin America and Africa.

This partnership comes as South Africa's Responsible Gambling Foundation reported an increase in addiction related calls of 55% over the last financial year in November.

At present, Laurence Michel has stepped down as CEO of Betway Africa after nearly 25 years and will now serve as the company's Chairman, guiding long-term strategy and navigating the South African regulatory landscape.

Miranda Guliashvili, Softswiss Head of Regional Growth, stated: "Partnering with operators who share our dedication to responsibility and high-quality entertainment is central to our strategy."

Andrey Rozhkov, PantherBet CEO, added: "Our purpose as a company is to provide responsible, safe and accessible entertainment while becoming one of the most innovative, reputable and trusted leaders in our industry. Partnering with Softswiss supports that purpose."
