Start Bet has announced a sponsorship agreement with the Campeonato Mineiro for the 2026 season.
The deal places the operator across all matches of the tournament, reinforcing its positioning within Minas Gerais, the state where the company is based.
According to Start Bet, the partnership is intended to strengthen its connection with local football culture.
The Campeonato Mineiro is widely regarded as one of Brazil’s most historic state championships, featuring clubs with strong national followings and deep regional roots.
Pedro Parigi, managing partner at Start Bet, said that “the Campeonato Mineiro is one of the most traditional state championships in the country. Being present across all matches allows us to connect directly with fans, expand brand visibility and reinforce our relationship with Minas Gerais, which is our home.”
In 2025, the operator signed partnerships with the Brazilian Women’s Football Championship and the Women’s Brazil Cup, signaling a wider strategy focused on both regional and national competitions.
Start Bet’s move comes amid heightened competition among operators for state-level football sponsorships.
In recent months, several companies have renewed or secured deals tied to regional championships, underlining the commercial relevance of these tournaments.
Superbet has renewed its sponsorship of the Campeonato Carioca in Rio de Janeiro for the 2026 season, while Betano has extended its partnership with the Campeonato Paulista in São Paulo.
In the country’s Northeast, SportyBet has secured naming rights for the Campeonato Alagoano in 2026.
These agreements reflect how state championships continue to offer operators consistent broadcast exposure, strong local engagement and access to fan bases that remain highly loyal to regional clubs.
The Campeonato Mineiro was founded in 1915, but its history is often regarded as before and after the construction of the Mineirão in September 1966
