Flutter has committed to a three-year global partnership with Cure Leukaemia through to 2028
The agreement is expected to generate around $1.3m per year for clinical trials and specialist care
Colleague-led fundraising will expand globally through new running and endurance initiatives

Flutter Entertainment has announced an expansion of its partnership with Cure Leukaemia, becoming the charity’s first global corporate partner under a new three-year agreement running through to 2028.

The initiative forms part of Flutter’s wider “Do More” ambition and represents a total commitment of approximately $4m.

The expanded partnership is expected to generate around $1.3m annually for Cure Leukaemia, with funding directed towards specialist blood cancer nurses and the continued development of the charity’s Trials Acceleration Program (TAP).

The programme, which supports the rapid delivery of clinical trials, is set to expand from 15 to 25 centres globally as a result of the agreement.

In addition to TAP, Flutter’s funding will support the IMPACT networks, one of only two transplant and cell therapy clinical trial networks worldwide, as well as the MyeCare Registry. The registry collects real-world data on UK patients with acute myeloid leukaemia and is intended to improve understanding of treatment outcomes.

Flutter’s partnership with Cure Leukaemia began in 2023 and has already raised more than $2.7m through colleague-led fundraising initiatives. These have included participation in endurance cycling events such as The Tour 21 and London2Paris, where Flutter has acted as headline sponsor.

As part of the new global phase, Flutter will continue supporting cycling events while also launching the Cure Leukaemia Running Club. This initiative will enable Flutter’s 29,000 colleagues across more than 30 countries to take part in marathons, virtual challenges and community fundraising activities.

The running programme is expected to fund two additional clinical trials per year and support specialist nurses across ten new centres.

Commenting on the development, Kerry McNally, Group Head of Communities and Engagement at Flutter, stated: “This partnership brings together two things that matter deeply to our people. The power of sport to bring communities together and the belief that everyone deserves access to better health outcomes.

“What makes this so powerful is that it is driven by our colleagues. Their energy, commitment, and willingness to push themselves to make a difference. Becoming Cure Leukaemia’s first global partner allows us to scale that collective effort and deliver real impact for patients around the world.”

The Cure Leukaemia partnership represents the latest development in Flutter's broader community engagement strategy. Recent months have seen the operator attract over 1,000 applications for its Cash4Clubs grassroots sports funding programme, while the company has also undergone board-level changes with the appointments of David Kenny and Sally Susman as Independent Non-Executive Directors.

Good to know

Since launching its partnership with Cure Leukaemia in 2023, Flutter has helped support multiple trials presented at major international medical conferences, including the American Society of Haematology meeting.
