David Kenny will join Flutter’s board as an Independent Non-Executive Director from 29 May 2026
He brings senior leadership experience from Best Buy, Nielsen, IBM and The Weather Company
The appointment aligns with Flutter’s ongoing board renewal programme

Flutter Entertainment has announced the appointment of David Kenny as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with the role set to become effective following the company’s Annual General Meeting on 29 May 2026.

The appointment forms part of Flutter’s ongoing board renewal and governance processes as the group continues to expand across multiple regulated markets.

The Board of Directors has confirmed that Kenny meets the independence requirements under New York Stock Exchange listing standards.

Kenny currently serves as Chairman of Best Buy Co., the world’s largest speciality consumer electronics retailer. In addition, he is an Independent Director at Nielsen Holdings, a global media measurement and analytics company, where he previously held the roles of CEO and Executive Chairman.

His earlier career includes senior leadership positions such as Chairman and CEO of The Weather Company and SVP of IBM’s Watson and Cloud Platform division.

The appointment adds to Flutter's ongoing board renewal program, which has seen several new faces join the company's leadership structure in recent months. In December, Flutter announced Sally Susman would join as a Non-Executive Director, also effective from 29 May 2026. Susman brings extensive corporate affairs experience from her role as EVP and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Pfizer, a position she has held since 2007.

Commenting on Kenny's appointment, John Bryant, Chair of the Board, stated: "We are delighted to announce David's appointment and welcome him to the board.

“We expect that his leadership experience at complex technology, media and marketing businesses will be of great benefit to the Board and the Group."

Beyond board-level changes, Flutter has experienced several executive transitions across its regional operations in recent months. Francesco Durante stepped down as CEO of Flutter's Southern Europe and Africa division at the end of January 2026, with CFO Roberto Di Fonzo taking over the role.

In Brazil, Eduardo Monte succeeded João Studart as CEO, while Studart moved into a Chairman position.

Meanwhile, Steve Birch departed Sky Betting & Gaming in December after 18 years with the company, having held 11 different roles including CEO.
