Operators FanDuel and DraftKings have both submitted separate applications to enter the regulated land-based Arkansas sports betting market, according to an Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration spokesperson.
If approved, the two major US sports betting entities would be authorized to partner with any of the three currently active casino sportsbooks in the state, namely, Oaklawn Casino in Hot Springs, Saracen Casino in Pine Bluff and Southland Casino in West Memphis.
The outcome of the respective applications of the two operators ultimately rests with the Arkansas Racing Commission. If successful in partnering with any of the Natural State’s three casinos, FanDuel and DraftKings will also be able to engage in co-branding with their respective casinos, offering their sports betting apps to the players of each location. As specified under state law, approximately 51% of revenues will be retained by the casino.
Indeed, DraftKings is also operational in Arkansas with Daily Fantasy Sports products, with FanDuel looking to make its wagering debut in the state.
It has been a busy period for the two operators, with DraftKings outlining positive Q4 and FY 2025 financial results last week, which saw the operator increase its revenue by 43% and 27% year-over-year for each period, respectively. DraftKings also made its official entry into the newly regulated Missouri sports wagering market during Q4 2025.
Elsewhere, after being subject to a $350,000 fine at the hands of the Ontario regulator, AGCO, for wagering integrity failures, FanDuel also launched a new research-based responsible gaming campaign last month.
FanDuel and DraftKings each currently operate in 27 regulated US jurisdictions
