Esportes da Sorte partnered with Corinthians to host an integrity workshop focused on preventing match manipulation in sports.
Esportes da Sorte currently serves as the lead sponsor of Corinthians under a long-term agreement.
The session, held at the club’s Parque São Jorge facilities, was organized for players and staff from Corinthians’ basketball team.
The event also featured participation from integrity specialists from Sportradar, a sports technology company known for its monitoring and integrity services in global betting markets.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness among athletes about the risks associated with match manipulation and to provide guidance on identifying and reporting suspicious approaches.
Carolina Luna, Head of Compliance at Grupo Esportes Gaming Brasil, which operates the Esportes da Sorte brand, said the training program forms part of the company’s broader commitment to promoting transparency and integrity in sports.
“We understand that knowledge is the main tool for prevention, which is why we work in partnership with clubs to ensure transparency and security across the entire sports ecosystem,” Luna said.
Felippe Marchetti, Integrity Director for Latin America at Sportradar, highlighted the importance of education programs aimed at athletes and support staff.
“Given the potential involvement of organized crime in cases of match manipulation in Brazilian basketball, investing in education and awareness among athletes has never been more necessary,” he said.
The workshop also included participation from Sportradar integrity analyst Victor Carajuru, who presented practical examples of manipulation schemes and explained how criminal groups may attempt to influence matches.
Corinthians basketball coach Jece Leite said cooperation between operators, monitoring organizations and sports clubs plays a key role in preventing such activity.
