Entain has announced the extension of its long-standing agreement with Inspired Entertainment, as the operator looks to bolster its online offerings ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Indeed, this latest multi-year extension agreement is largely centred around virtual sports and will see the introduction of Inspired’s Virtual Soccer BetBuilder, which has been launched specifically ahead of the major football tournament this summer. Following this integration, additional virtual sports offerings will also be integrated onto Entain’s platform as part of this collaborative effort.
This latest development follows the additional extension of Inspired’s virtual sports partnership with bet365 last week, with the supplier also releasing its latest financial results – highlighting a 2% year-on-year rise in revenue to $304.1m.
Commenting on this latest deal, Inspired Entertainment President and CEO Brooks Pierce said: “We are delighted to extend our successful global partnership with Entain. Our relationship has been built on collaboration, performance and innovation.
“The introduction of our upgraded Virtual Soccer with BetBuilder, an industry first, reflects our commitment to delivering differentiated, high-impact products that drive engagement and long-term growth for our partners.”
Building on this was Jamie Crossfield, Sportsbook Director at Entain, who stated: “Virtual Sports continues to be an important and growing category for our customers globally. Inspired has been a trusted partner for many years, consistently delivering high‑quality, high‑performing content across our brands. Extending this partnership enables us to build on that success while offering even more compelling entertainment through new products like the enhanced Virtual Soccer with BetBuilder.”
For the operator, this latest deal comes off the back of positive full-year 2025 financial results, which saw Entain record a group revenue figure of £1.16bn ($1.55bn), up 8% in comparison to results from the prior year and settling ahead of its guidance figure.
Several operators have begun to optimise their offerings for the World Cup, with DraftKings having added additional Spanish linguistic options ahead of the tournament
