Allwyn has appointment Katie Harbron as its Director of Games
She will draw specific focus on games innovation for the UK National Lottery

The UK’s National Lottery operator Allwyn has announced the appointment of Katie Harbron as its new Director of Games.

Indeed, Harbron will report primarily to Allwyn’s Digital Managing Director, Richard Dawkins, and will be responsible for overseeing the National Lottery’s games department, focusing specifically on marketing and innovation around draw-based and interactive instant win games. Having held previous senior positions at Flutter and SkyBet, Harbron moves on from her previous post as Chief Product Officer of MrQ as she steps into this latest role.

Commenting on her appointment, Allwyn Digital MD Richard Dawkins said: “Katie brings extensive experience in leading product, content and commercial development for global brands. I am really excited about the impact I know she and her team will have as we further develop our games to meet the evolving needs of our players and to ensure we responsibly generate more money for Good Causes.”

This latest personnel change among Allwyn UK’s senior leadership team closely follows the departure of the company’s Operations Director, Jenny Blogg, who officially began a new role as Rank Group CCO this week.

Also speaking on her appointment as Director of Games, Harbron stated: “I have always admired The National Lottery and the unique position it holds in the UK; so the opportunity to play a part in innovating the games is incredibly exciting.”

It has been a busy phase for Allwyn, who earlier this month formally withdrew its previously planned acquisition of Novibet after regulator feedback from the Hellenic Competition Commission. More recently, this week saw the operator reward National Lottery retailers with a £21,000 ($28,000) incentive programme.
