This programme rewards strong National Lottery retail execution

Allwyn has recognised 11 retailers across the United Kingdom through its latest Site, Stock, Sell quarterly prize draw, awarding a total of £21,000 ($28,000) to stores delivering strong in-store execution for The National Lottery.

The initiative evaluates how retailers present National Lottery products in-store, including things like Playstations, scratchcard dispensers and signage. For consideration, retailers uploaded images of these displays to the National Lottery Retailer Hub – they then received a score out of ten and entry into the quarterly draw.

In the end, the £10,000 top prize was awarded to Ram and Raju Sundavadra, who operate a SPAR store in Durham, while 10 other retailers each picked up £1,000 prizes for achieving high scores under the programme.

Speaking after the win, Ram Sundavadra said: “I still can’t quite believe we’ve won. My wife has a special birthday approaching and this will help us take a memorable holiday together.”

He also mentioned that the incentive programme helps encourage retailers to maintain high presentation standards, saying: “The National Lottery is an important part of the service I provide as a convenience store owner, and the Retailer Hub rewards programme is a real incentive to keep our standards high.”

Karl Southworth, Head of Field Sales at Allwyn, commented that retailers remain central to the lottery’s success. He said: “From small family-run shops to busy convenience stores, they are the face of the brand in villages and towns across the UK.”

Other winners included stores in Midlothian, Southend-on-Sea, Ballymena, Bridgend, Manchester and more.

Southworth added: “Their commitment to strong in-store standards directly supports the success of The National Lottery, and in turn helps us raise over £32 million each week for Good Causes.”
