The Superbet Group will again be solely led by its Founder Sacha Dragic - he returned to the company last September as Co-CEO but will now assume full executive responsibility as CEO.
Jimmy Maymann succeeded Johnny Hartnett as Superbet CEO in January 2025 and has led alongside Dragic for the past year. He will now take a seat on the Board of Directors.
Dragic founded the company in 2008 and was subsequently CEO for over 10 years before making his own exit in 2019 to a board member role.
Thanking Maymann for his work, Dragic said: "Over the past couple of years, we have achieved remarkable results, advancing our product and technology capabilities, strengthening our position in key markets and building a culture of financial discipline and accountability."
The corporate reshuffling at Superbet extends to a new Deputy CEO and COO, with all changes being effective from 1 January.
Albert Simsensohn, Group COO, will now be responsible for more strategy as Deputy CEO, while current CCO International, Eamon O'Loughlin, will step into the breach as COO.
Dragic went on to say: "This planned evolution of our leadership team marks a natural step in our growth journey. It reflects the maturity of our organization and our ambition to push forward, positioning Superbet for the next phase of sustainable global expansion."
Maymann has reflected on Superbet's recent achievements, expressing pride at the role he played accelerating the transformation of the company into a global challenger.
Certainly the company's prestige has lifted in recent months, and in January, a refinancing deal with Blackstone to the tune of €1.3bn ($1.51bn) saw the operator become the latest of Romania's 'unicorn' businesses.
The departing Co-CEO said: "As we prepare for the next phase, simplifying how we operate will help us move even faster, with a single-threaded leader, our founder, Sacha Dragic."
