Brazil's Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA), under the Ministry of Finance, has issued a new ordinance authorizing DigiPlus Brazil Interactive to update the brands under which it operates fixed-odds betting and online gaming services.
The measure, published in the Diário Oficial da União, replaces the operator's previous GamePlus brand with ArenaPlus and BingoPlus, both now listed as official Brazilian operating domains.
The ordinance was signed by SPA Secretary Régis Dudena and modifies an earlier directive that authorized GamePlus, marking the second change to the company's licensing terms within the year.
According to the SPA, Brazil currently has 81 authorized companies holding 83 operational licenses, with a total of 183 distinct brands.
Of these, 78 are regularized through direct SPA approval, while five were granted authorization via Federal Court decisions.
The announcement follows a period of robust growth in the national betting market. In 2025 alone, Brazilian government data indicates that betting-related tax revenues exceeded BR6.8bn ($1.3bn).
Most of this was fuelled largely by the surge in football-driven online transactions, a trend that underscores both the market's vitality and the regulatory challenges ahead in the country.
The authorization framework established by the 2023 betting law continues to shape Brazil's gaming sector, where branding and domain registration are key elements of compliance.
The SPA has emphasized that all brands must maintain transparency, and adhere to strict consumer protection and integrity standards.
