Planet Hollywood has announced a new integrated casino resort project in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi in collaboration with Iconic Entertainment.
This landmark development represents the construction of Georgia’s very first integrated casino resort, with the two-towered 1,200-room project now officially underway. Indeed, the resort’s campus will include a 50,000 square feet casino, with one tower representing a Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino, and the other a Radisson Blu luxury hotel.
Tbilisi has been highlighted by Planet Hollywood as the capital city of one of Europe’s fastest-expanding tourism markets in Georgia. This latest endeavour is set to provide over 2,000 permanent jobs in the city, with a timeline for the resort’s opening having not yet been specified.
Planet Hollywood Founder Robert Earl commented on the development, saying: "This represents a defining step in the continued global evolution of the Planet Hollywood brand. Tbilisi is a city with extraordinary character and momentum. Together with our partners, we are creating a destination that brings together entertainment, hospitality, and immersive experiences in a way that is both ambitious and authentic to the market."
Building on this was Mark Advent, Iconic Entertainment Partner, who said: "I've waited decades for the right opportunity to work with Robert Earl – one of the world's great impresarios; his creation of Planet Hollywood is part of a truly storied legacy.
“We are in the fun business, and he has brought extraordinary enjoyment to guests around the world by bringing to life one of pop culture's most iconic entertainment brands. On top of this, Tbilisi is ready for a project of this scale – this will be a defining destination!"
Planet Hollywood has specified partnership and entertainment announcements, alongside a formal opening timeline, will be announced in the coming months
