Hard Rock Heals Foundation has donated more than $400,000 to support recovery efforts in Jamaica following the destruction caused by Hurricane Melissa.

The funds were raised through the “Stay Strong Jamaica” initiative and will be distributed via Jamaica's Promise, a non-profit organization supporting local recovery programs.

The donation will contribute to housing reconstruction, infrastructure repair and wider humanitarian aid.

Hurricane Melissa, a category five storm that struck in October 2025, caused widespread devastation across the island, leaving thousands homeless and generating an estimated $9bn in damages.

The fundraising campaign brought together contributions from Hard Rock International, Seminole Gaming properties, employees and customers.

A key part of the initiative included a benefit concert held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida, featuring prominent Jamaican artists and celebrating the country’s cultural resilience.

David Hoenemeyer, COO of Seminole Gaming, said the effort was particularly prescient given the makeup of the company, commenting: “With so many Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming team members from Jamaica — including more than 300 at our Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood property alone — this Hurricane Melissa relief effort was truly personal for us.”

Jamaican officials also welcomed the contribution, noting it would play a tangible role in rebuilding communities affected by the storm.
