FanDuel has chosen to shut down the operations of its peer-to-peer fantasy sports product FanDuel Picks, with account access and the ability to withdraw funds officially concluding on May 29.
“Last year, we launched FanDuel Picks to give customers a new way to compete with friends through peer-to-peer contests. We’re proud of the work that went into building this experience and the creativity behind it,” FanDuel stated within the release.
“After careful consideration, we’ve made the decision to sunset FanDuel Picks and reallocate resources to other areas of our business where we see the greatest opportunity to serve our customers. Through this transition, we’re committed to making it easy for customers to wrap up their contests and withdraw their funds.”
The operator launched FanDuel Picks during August 2025, allowing users to select between three and six players, "more" or "less" on their projected stat lines and set contest entry amounts.
FanDuel confirmed the last contests run by the peer-to-peer fantasy sports product will become available on April 23, while paid FanDuel Picks entries which are currently live or still to be decided will play out “as scheduled” and settle in normal fashion.
FanDuel Picks had been available in 17 US states, including Arkansas, Georgia, Missouri, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin.
Speaking of Arkansas, FanDuel launched its sportsbook offering in the state on March 23 through a partnership with Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
Under the agreement, the existing Oaklawn Sports mobile application will now be powered by FanDuel technology, giving users access to a broader range of betting options including parlays, prop bets and in-game wagering.
