BC Game has launched in Nigeria after securing a sports betting and casino licence from the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority, extending the operator’s presence in regulated African markets.
The launch sees BC Game go live through its bcbet.ng domain with a sportsbook and casino offering tailored for the local market. The operator said users in Nigeria will be able to access betting and gaming services using the Nigerian naira.
Nigeria is the second regulated market launch disclosed by BC Game after it obtained a licence in Kenya last year. The move forms part of the operator’s wider strategy to increase its footprint in licensed jurisdictions, although scrutiny remains on its unlicensed activities.
BC Game said it had also made platform changes alongside the Nigeria rollout, including updated navigation, clearer support information and more detailed communication around payments and account processes. It added that it had expanded explanatory materials intended to improve visibility around key service features.
BC Game CEO, Kar Kheng Giam, said: “User experience today is closely tied to clarity, consistency and transparency.”
Giam added: “As we expand into new regulated markets such as Nigeria, we are focused on making the platform easier to understand while continuing to improve how we communicate with our users.”
He also pointed to demand drivers in the local market, stating: “Nigeria is home to one of the most passionate sports fanbases in the world, with a strong culture around football and a rapidly growing interest in digital gaming.”
The operator said the Nigerian launch builds on a licensing base that also includes Anjouan. It described its current focus as strengthening its regulatory footprint across multiple jurisdictions as part of its longer-term growth plans.
Nigeria has become an increasingly watched market for gaming operators due to its large population, mobile internet usage and demand for digital betting products.
The latest move adds BC Game to the list of operators seeking exposure to regulated African betting and casino markets, where licensing structures continue to evolve at state and national level.
BC Game’s Nigeria launch follows a leadership change announced in March, when it appointed Kar Kheng Giam as CEO and said he would oversee strategy, operations and financial performance as the operator targeted further expansion in regulated markets.
