The Illinois Gaming Board has reported the state’s total casino revenue for March 2026, as commercial gaming establishments combined to generate $183.1m during the monthly period, representing an increase of 7.1%. 

Revenue generated from electronic gaming devices (EGDs) increased 6.6% for a total of $140.7m, while table game revenue in Illinois grew 9.1% to $42.4m.

Rivers Casino led all commercial gaming establishments with $44.6m of revenue during March 2026, equating to an increase of 2.1%, while Wind Creek Chicago revenue grew 30.6% to $22m. 

Grand Victoria Casino and Hard Rock Casino Rockford generated March 2026 revenues of $13.2m and $13.4m, respectively, increasing 6% and 2% year-over-year. Hollywood Casino Joliet followed closely behind the two properties with $12.4m of revenue for March 2026, increasing 56%. 

Bally’s Chicago produced nearly $11m of revenue during the monthly period, but witnessed a decrease of 1.6% from the prior year period. The operator’s Quad Cities Casino & Hotel location accounted for $5.9m of revenue and increased 3.9%. 

Full House Resorts Illinois and Harrah’s Joliet Casino managed to produce $10.9m and $10.4m of March 2026 casino revenue, respectively, equating to decreases of 0.2% and 8%.

Which casinos accounted for the most revenue during the monthly period?

Harrah’s Metropolis Casino reported $4.8m of revenue for March 2026 and fell 11.8%, while Hollywood Casino Aurora revenue decreased 2.2% to just over $8.6m. Par-A-Dice Casino Hotel reported a decrease in revenue of 3.7% to $5.4m, followed closely by the Danville Development which grew revenue 1% to $4m. 

Walker’s Bluff Casino Resort managed to increase revenue by 10.4% to $3.4m during March 2026, while Argosy Casino Alton revenue fell 0.4% to $3.3m. Fairmount Park generated $2.2m of revenue for March 2026, but did not report its commercial revenue during the prior year period. 

In sports betting news related to Illinois, FanDuel has chosen to waive the $0.50 per wager surcharge in the state through June 19, originally brought forth to counteract lawmakers’ own $0.50 per bet surcharge for operators which accept over 20 million bets per year.

The move comes after Senator Daniel Didech introduced new legislation which would repeal the per wager tax enforced against mobile betting operators since September 2025.
