Although his album “Allein” skyrocketed him to success, Capital Bra is certainly not alone when it comes to being sanctioned as an influencer promoting illegal gambling.

This follows allegations of him streaming illegal gambling activities on his platform

The Joint Gambling Authority of the Länder (GGL), or the German Gambling Authority, has taken legal action against Capital Bra.

According to the investigation, the rapper streamed himself engaging in illegal gambling activities on his platforms.

These videos were later available on his channel, which features permanent banner advertising for the websites in question.

Capital Bra also allegedly operates a comparison site for illegal online gambling providers, named CapiBonus, which is available through his social media platforms.

Capital Bra currently has 3.2 million followers on Instagram, 2.7 million on YouTube and 133,000 on Twitch.

The initial proceedings were launched in October 2025, but after Capital Bra continued to ignore the GGL, the regulator served a penalty of €250,000 at a concert in Wiesbaden last weekend.

Ronald Benter, GGL CEO, said: "We don't shy away from well-known names. Anyone who advertises illegal gambling must expect consistent official measures."

Capital Bra, also known as Vladislav Balovatsky or Владислав Баловацький, is the most successful charting act in German history, with 22 number-one songs in the country.

After his album CB6 was leaked in April 2019, Capital Bra broke the record previously held by Ed Sheeran for being the most-streamed artist in Germany.

This follows a trend seen in many other countries at the moment, where high-profile, influential figures have been caught promoting illegal gambling platforms to their young audiences.

Brazil has seen this issue most prominently over the last year, with several influencers being taken to court for promoting illegal gambling offers.

Meanwhile, in Belgium, the Kansspelcommissie has opened an investigation against Eden Hazard for promoting Stake on his social media accounts.
