Accel Entertainment has appointed Bruce Wardinski to its Board of Directors.
Wardinski joins Accel Entertainment as an experienced executive in the industry and will also serve on the Board’s Compensation Committee and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Andy Rubenstein, Accel Entertainment Chairman and CEO, said: “We are pleased to welcome Bruce to the Accel Board.
“Bruce has spent his career in the hospitality and real estate business, most recently building and ultimately monetizing a complex, multi-site business with a strong local operating footprint as a public company CEO accountable to shareholders.
“That experience maps directly to where Accel is today – a proven platform with meaningful growth ahead of it. His perspective on capital allocation and long-term value creation will be an asset to our Board as we continue to scale.”
Prior to his appointment with Accel Entertainment, Wardinski was appointed Chair at DiamondRock Hospitality, a position he will hold alongside this one.
He has also previously worked with Playa Hotels & Resorts as Chairman and CEO; Highland Hospitality as Executive Chairman; Crestline Capital and Chairman and CEO; and Marriott International as Director of Treasury.
Outside of the industry, Wardinski was also an Advisor to the Board of Directors and Chairman of the ServiceSource Foundation, a charitable organization serving people with disabilities.
He has also previously served on the board of Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts.
On his appointment, Wardinski said: “I am pleased to join the Accel Board at an exciting moment for the company.
“Accel has built a genuinely differentiated platform – a large, distributed network with deep roots in the communities it serves and a business model that has demonstrated its resilience.
“I look forward to working with Andy and the rest of the Board on capital allocation, growth strategy and governance as the company continues to grow.”
In its most recent Q1, Accel Entertainment achieved its all-time high revenue figure of $351.6m, an increase of 8.5%.
